SELF DEFENSE

Self Defense is perhaps the main reason that people get involved in the martial
arts. Through the use of one step sparring ( pictured above ) you become used to
having an attacker punching at you as well as learning counter attacks. While
it is practiced in a controlled environment, it gives you the ability as well as the
technique to be able to handle a real situation. It also makes one able to react
with something other than a cringing fear in a crisis. With much time spent
practicing one steps, you learn the techniques as reflex actions. There are as
many different one step movements as there are types of blocks and strikes. The
three one steps pictured above are a high round house kick an an elbow strike

and a webstrike to the throat.
